Bjørn Wiinblad (1919-2006) was a celebrated Danish designer and artist who was named Man of the Year in New York in 1985 and was awarded the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s Cultural Prize in 1995. His whimsical ceramic pieces are rare and highly collectible. This beautiful tureen is signed and dated on the underside.
